Seniors Louisa Varo, Kate Burnett and junior Lauren Kastner representing all three publication staffs (Triangle, Log and PRIB) along with adviser Kim Green and new beginning publications teacher Rachel Searcy will head to Philadelphia for the annual JEA/NSPA Convention. Publications staffs from all over the nation will attend and have their publications critiqued, learn new ideas and compete against over 5,000 students in write-offs.
"I'm really excited. I think this will be a great way for us to get our name and our publications out. Also, the critique will really help us," Varo said. "We will get to see our publication in a different light and can use the new ideas and views they give us to help better our publications."
The JEA/NSPA Convention runs from Nov. 8-11 in Philadelphia.
