On the field North and East might be rivals, but when the two schools are put together, they can work miracles. Feb. 22 is the last day to pre-register for this year's Dance Marathon. All proceeds go to Turning Point, the domestic violence shelter here. Last year over 750 students attended and together they raised $75,000. This year's goal is to have 1,000 students attend and raise $100,000.
"People should come to Dance Marathon because it's really fun and for a good cause. Also, we're going to have a self-defense class and we have a band coming down from Chicago, Josh Soloman and the Empty Pockets," senior Katie Logan said.
Dance Marathon takes place Saturday, Feb. 23, and Sunday, Feb. 24, at Central Middle School and lasts from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.
