Lights to flash for charity

Lights to flash for charity
by Katie Howell (11/13/07)

It's not too early to get into the Christmas Spirit! Here on campus, lights will be flashing to the sound of music in a few weeks. While you are hanging up your own decorations, C4 electronics, architectural drafting, engineering drafting, multimedia, and machine trades will be working on their own kind of light show. Theirs will consist of 18,000 lights.

"(This) is going to be a fundraiser in conjunction with the school Can Drive. A long list of classes will be helping. We also need volunteers," student director junior Anna Wint said.

The light show will be located on the west end of the football practice field and will last 15 minutes for a continuous four hours. Students may donate canned goods in boxes located around the light show. Both North's Can Drive and Love Chapel will benefit from the show.
