How do you spell success? Columbus North Fall Sports! Out of seven teams, five are sectional champions, the football team plays Decatur Central Nov. 2 for the sectional championship, and one team is sectional runner-up.
And it gets better than that! Women’s golf placed third at state, and men’s tennis placed fourth at state. Men’s and women’s cross country teams placed seventh and 10th at state respectively. Men’s and women’s soccer reached Semi-state with the women losing in the final game.
Along with the success of the fall teams, CNHS now sports four coaches of the year.
“This is the best fall we have ever had,” Director of Athletics Hedy George said. “I just can’t say enough about the fall teams.”
