Bet you did not know that state champions reside right here and not all wear the Bull Dog logo. They are the rulers of the ice; they are the Columbus Icemen hockey team.
Last Sunday, March 9, the Icemen won the IHSAA 3A State Championship at the Pepsi Coliseum in Indianapolis, defeating Noblesville for the crown.
"I am excited (about winning this title) and I'm sure everyone else is too," left-side forward junior Malachi Henry said. "We are thinking about going to Disney World."
Henry also felt encouraged by the support of the fans.
"I would like to thank the fans that have come to any games this season," he said, "and a big thanks to the people that came to the championship."
